Massage Therapy

Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.

Deep Tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the superficial muscle layer. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries as well as remove severe tension.  Typically athletes prefer Deep Tissue type massage because they have increased density of their muscle and fascia tissue.

Myofascial Release is a specific technique designed to mobilize the connective tissue between your muscles (fascia) so that it can improve its function and rate of repair. It is a therapeutic form of massage utilized when specific muscle and fascia tissues are causing dysfunction and pain.  It can help your body heal more thoroughly from injuries and can restore preinjury range of motion.

Trigger point therapy focuses on the release of tension around specific nerve centers found throughout your body. It is great for relieving spasmed and overused muscles that may cause local or referred pain patterns.

Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen. Keeping the patient comfortable throughout the massage is a top priority.
